I tend to draw on the same spot of the screen and that part has an almost scuffed appearance. This resulted in what I'd call micro scratches. I didn't change the nib right away because my old wacom didn't need to have the nib changed. Even with them I would choose it again.Ĭons: the screen itself. I love it, but it does have a few issues. I bought the 16 in April and it's my first display tablet. My Intuos 4 is a rock solid device that has carried me through school, uni, and my first couple of professional gigs, and although I'm not expecting such a long life from a display, I'd like to get at least 4-5 years of use out of it. Also please chip in if you have good/ bad experiences with Wacom's pen displays. The larger screen size and the included stand of the 22 sounds amazing but if it's really heavy/ unwieldy it might not be worth it. Otherwise, whatever I get is going to stay put at my desk. ![]() isn't a problem for when I need to travel. I can comfortably afford the One/ 16, can stretch to the 22 if it's worth it and shipping internationally using FedEx etc. Owners of the Cintiq non pro models and Wacom One please chime in! Especially if you are pro's who are regularly using these devices for work. I've also heard that you can skip the power connection with the One and just use USB/ HDMI? This would be really great. But I'm wondering if the 13.3 screen will be too small with desktop UI? Is the Cintiq 16 worth it for the extra space/ Pro Pen 2? Will the 16 fit in a laptop bag for travel? In my corner of the world, the 16 is nearly double the price of the Wacom One, and my main concern with the One is really the screen size. I don't care much for parallax either, I'll get used to it. I don't care for pressure levels since the 2048 on my Intuos 4 is already great, and I don't need a fancy high res colour accurate screen (have my laptop for that), just a solid drawing experience. I want something reliable and robust, but will need to travel internationally in the coming years so maybe that rules the 22 out? I'm especially interested in the Wacom One since it looks like it'll get the job done at the best price. I've been scouring this sub for user opinions on the these 3 models so thought I'd just ask. I can still make do without, but it'd be great to be able to sketch on the screen without importing/ file transfer etc. Most of what I do is sketching, drawing, and painting, but with remote working I'll need to use apps like PS and Storyboard Pro, occasionally Blender, from my laptop. Its a slippery slope.īeen using an Intuos 4 medium for almost 10 years now, but have gotten so used to iPad Pro + Apple Pencil that it's hard to go back to the screen less drawing.
